Play within your limits.
Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Set a time and spending limit before you play, take breaks, and never chase losses. Avoid gambling when under pressure, upset or affected by alcohol or drugs.
Warning signs to notice.
These can include spending more than planned, hiding gambling from others, borrowing money to gamble, trying to win back losses, or gambling affecting work, relationships or wellbeing.
Support is available.
If gambling is becoming difficult to control, consider stopping and speaking to someone you trust. Independent advice is available through GamblingCare.ie.
